Lease, premium, exclusive — what you actually own

Lease, premium, exclusive — what you actually own

A plain-English walk-through of the three license tiers and when each one is the right call.

Buy what your release plan needs. Not what your ego says.

A basic lease is right for early demos and streaming experiments where you're still finding your audience. A premium license makes sense once you're confident the song will see a real rollout. An exclusive is for a record you'd be willing to fight for in five years.

The mistake isn't buying small. It's buying big before the song earns it.
